Eredel has a fantastic gallery full of a broad range of deviations. Of all the deviations my favourites by far are the character based photo-manipulations. These manipulations have very minimalistic characters that, despite limited facial features are exceedingly emotive.
Below is a small, limited and unjust sampling of his gallery. I definitely encourage you to check out ~
Eredel's
full galleryThis is a four part series taken from near the Champlain lookout in Gatineau Park. The images are all south facing and the body of water in the distance is the Ottawa river. Ontario is the landmass on the far side of the river. These were all taken shortly after a foggy morning when the fog had cleared but haze remained in the air. I find this kind of weather is great for showing different layers, which is what this series was an exercise in.
One thing that I really concentrated on in this series was trying to keep the tonality consistent from image to image so that they really seemed like smaller parts of the whole series.
I really enjoy the atmosphere and depth that this type of weather allows you to capture. I have yet to find a way to capture the same depth without the haze lending its helping hand.
